Maryssa Geist

Maryssa Geist is an associate in the firm’s New Jersey office who focuses her practice on a broad range of commercial litigation matters. She has substantial experience at all stages of litigation.

Maryssa began her legal career serving as a law clerk to the Honorable Joseph A. Portelli, J.S.C., a Superior Court Judge for the Criminal Division of Passaic County, New Jersey. She then entered private practice, where she handled civil and criminal cases in state and federal courts.

Maryssa was admitted to the New Jersey State Bar in 2019. She obtained her J.D. from Rutgers Law School in 2018, where she graduated with a Certificate of Merit in criminal law and procedure. She graduated from Seton Hall University in 2015, where she was a Dean’s List Scholar, with a B.A. in English.
